Misky Wayra: experiencia interdisciplinaria de estudiantes universitarios y egresados para educar niños en el espacio público en la ciudad de Lima, Perú

Abstract

Para aminorar las brechas educativas y sociales que existen en Perú es indispensable visibilizarlas, tomar conciencia de ellas y asumir acciones políticas y colectivas que gesten cambios oportunos. La educación es clave en este proceso, pues genera sensibilidad y reflexión, lo cual sirve para resolver problemáticas desde el ejercicio de una ciudadanía responsable individual y colectiva, iniciada en la infancia. Para lograrlo, una alternativa es la apuesta por iniciativas pedagógicas, provenientes de la reflexión interdisciplinaria en el ámbito universitario, que respondan a dicho escenario en contextos como el espacio público. Frente a esto, Misky Wayra trabaja en espacios públicos a través de talleres e intervenciones pedagógico-artísticas que fomentan el desarrollo de habilidades ciudadanas individuales y colectivas en niños. En este artículo se presentan las experiencias, los proyectos y las intervenciones que ha realizado la organización durante cinco años de trayectoria. Asimismo, se muestran los resultados del trabajo social y las proyecciones a futuro.

To reduce the educational and social gaps that exist in Peru, it is essential to make them visible, to become aware of them and to take political and collective actions in order to manage timely changes. Education, which begins during childhood, is key in this process of generating sensitivity and re‑ective awareness for the resolution of problems either from the exercise of a responsible individual or from collective citizens. And, to achieve this goal, the option to adopt pedagogical initiatives, which can come from the interdisciplinary re‑ection within the university environment, by students and graduates, and that responds to this scenario, in contexts such as public space, is a great alternative. Faced with this need, Misky Wayra has been working in public spaces, through artistic-pedagogical workshops and interventions that promote the development of individual and collective citizens skills of boys and girls. This article presents the experiences, projects and interventions that the organization has carried out during its five years of experience. Likewise, the results of the social work developed and the projections that are expected to be achieved in the future are shown.
